I want the Mayor and City Council to act in the public interest regarding the future of our valuable public land & public amenities. Thus, we ask the city not to displace our first responders and not to build luxury housing on public land!

And, I urge the DC Zoning Commission not to approve the proposed upzoning of this public land to MU-10 to allow a 10 story Luxury Apartment Building to be built on this public land.

I want:

1.  Transparent, data-driven, community-engaging planning for the site;

2.All 2-acres at 17th & U/V remain in public control for Community uses;  and,

3.Any proposed redevelopment be lower in scale and, consider real impacts on nearby neighbors and protect public safety.
